Provisional. This page will be finalised once Arch Services’ business and legal details are confirmed. It does not yet constitute final terms.
This is a provisional summary. It describes, at a high level, how the details in an online quote request are handled. Sections marked as pending will be completed after final business and legal review.
Who we are
This website is operated by Arch Services. Full business, registration and data controller details are pending final business and legal review and will be published here.
Information in a quote request
When you send a quote request, it can include: your contact details (your name, and an email address and/or phone number, plus your preferred contact method); property details (the property type, postcode and town, and optionally a street address and access notes); your service requirements (your answers about the work and your timing preference); and any photos you choose to upload.
Please only upload photos that are relevant to the work and avoid including personal documents or other sensitive information.
How it is used
The details are used to review and respond to your quote request. A separate, optional tick box lets you agree to receive occasional Arch Services updates; it is never pre-selected.
Submitting a quote request is not a booking, and no price is agreed at that stage.
My Arch accounts and bookings
If you create a My Arch account, your sign-in email, profile details (name, phone and preferred contact method) and any properties you save are stored so you can see your quote requests and bookings in one place.
When you book a time that Arch has offered, the booking stores the appointment date and time, the service address you confirm for that visit (including any access notes), the contact details for the service day, and a history of the booking. These are kept with the booking as you confirmed them and are not changed if you later edit your profile or saved properties.
If you ask to reschedule or cancel, the request (its type, your preferred date and time of day, and any note you add) is stored with the booking so Arch can respond to it.
How long account and booking data is kept, and how deletion requests are handled, is pending final business and legal review.
Storage and security
Quote requests are stored in a database that the website’s public code cannot read. Photos are kept in private storage and are not publicly accessible.
While you fill in a request, your answers about the work are kept in this browser tab’s session storage so a refresh doesn’t lose them; contact and address details are kept only in the page’s memory. Both are cleared when you submit or start over.
Retention
Requests that are started but never submitted expire after 24 hours, and a clean-up process exists to remove them and any photos uploaded with them. Scheduling that clean-up automatically in production will be configured before launch.
How long submitted requests are kept is pending final business and legal review.
Legal basis and your rights
The legal bases for processing, and how to exercise your rights under UK data protection law, are pending final business and legal review and will be set out here before launch.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. Like most websites, the hosting provider may keep standard technical logs; details will be confirmed in the final policy.
Questions
Contact details for privacy questions will be added here when Arch’s contact details are confirmed.
